Photo Gallery: Kirkwood Varsity Football vs. Hazelwood Central Sept. 24, 2021
On Sept. 24, 2021, KHS hosted a home varsity football game against Hazelwood Central with a white out theme. Pep Nation substituted the traditional white powder for white confetti for everyone to throw. Ultimately, Kirkwood lost with a final score of 49-28.
“I think we played a lot better than the score reflected,” David Melby, senior player, said. “We had a couple of timely mistakes that really put us down, but as a team and as far as the rest of the season is concerned, I think we have a lot more and a lot better football to play. And if we see them again I think it’s going to go a lot differently.”
