On Sept. 12, Kirkwood Boy’s Soccer beat St. Mary’s South Side Catholic High School with a score of 8-0. Jake Clutes, junior, Ethan Croll, junior, and Graham Stevener, junior, all tallied multiple goals in the Pioneer’s defeat of St. Mary’s. The Pioneers scored six goals in the first half, and two goals in the second. This game brought the season record of the Pioneers to 5-2. Head Coach Mike Quante expressed his thoughts on this game.
“It was a good performance,” Quante said. “They [tried] to accomplish their individual responsibilities within the team, and so they contributed, as well could, to the team intention, and that put them in the best position possible to win the game.”
