Police Beat: 11/4-11/10
On Tuesday, 11-05-2013, detectives arrested an adult in connection with a theft
investigation. The original incident, a single vehicle break-in, occurred on 10-
23-2013 in the 700 block of South Kirkwood Road. The case was referred to
municipal court.
On Thursday, November 7, 2013 police responded to a parking lot of a business
in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road for a report of a two subjects
physically fighting. It was determined the incident stemmed from road rage
where one of the drivers cut the other driver off while traveling on South
Kirkwood Road. One adult was arrested and charged with Assault 3rd through
municipal court. The other adult involved refused any medical treatment.
On Friday, November 8, 2013 police responded to the 100 block of West
Jefferson for a report of two vehicle break-ins. Two separate vehicles had vehicle
locks damaged in order to gain entry. A toolbox was taken from one of the
vehicles. Nothing was taken from the other vehicle.
On Friday, November 8, 2013 officers handled a destruction of property report
in the 1200 block of S Kirkwood Road. The victim stated someone wrote in black
marker on the side of the victim’s vehicle causing damage.
On Saturday, November 9, 2013 a tool box with miscellaneous tools was
located in the 300 block of South Clay. The tool box is being held at the police
department to await claim by its owner.
Kirkwood Police arrested an adult for shoplifting merchandise from a business
during the week of Monday, 11-04-2013, through Sunday, 11-10-2013. The
incident occurred at a store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. The case
was referred to municipal court.
