Police Beat: 11/25-12/1
On Tuesday, November 26, 2013, police responded to the 100 block of West
Jefferson for a report of subjects throwing decorations from a store front into
the street. One of the subjects was located and issued a summons to appear in
municipal court for destruction of property.
On Tuesday, November 26, 2013 handled a larceny report in the 1000 block of
South Kirkwood Road. The victim advised a laptop, wrapped in a coat, was stolen
from the front passenger seat of a vehicle. The passenger door lock had been
tampered with.
On Thursday, November 28, 2013, police found a bicycle in the 100 block of West
Washington. The bicycle, a boys BMX bike, was brought to the station awaiting
claim by its owner.
On Friday, November 29, 2013 police were dispatched to a larceny in the 1200
block of South Kirkwood Road. The victim reported placing a bag containing
purchases from another store in her shopping cart while shopping. When the
victim went to retrieve the items from the cart she noticed the bag was missing.
On Sunday, December 1, 2013 police received a report of a stolen bicycle in the
300 block of Rose Lane. A white Trek bicycle was stolen from an open garage
sometime during the day.
Kirkwood Police arrested four adults for shoplifting merchandise from businesses
in the 1000 block of South Kirkwood Road and 10200 block of Manchester Road
during the week of Monday, 11-25-2013 through Sunday, 12-01-2013. One of
the adults was also charged with felony drug possession. The stealing cases
were referred to municipal court. The drug case
was referred to state court.
