Police Beat: 11/16-11/22

On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, police responded to a larceny in the 100 block of East Jefferson. A leather bag was left unattended and was removed from a public area at a local business.

 

On Wednesday, November 18, 2015, police located a scooter that was left unattended in the 700 block of South Kirkwood Road. The scooter was brought to the station awaiting the owner to retrieve it.

 

On Thursday, November 19, 2015, officers responded to Millbrook Lane for two vehicles that had been rifled through overnight. All of the vehicles were left unlocked and items were in disarray, however, nothing had been removed from either vehicle.

 

On Thursday, November 19, 2015, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Girard Place for a theft report. A pocket knife had been stolen from the center console of an unlocked vehicle.

 

On Thursday, November 19, 2015, police were notified of fraud by a victim in the 200 block of Crest. The victim had mailed money to several addresses with the intentions of obtaining a larger amount in return.

 

On Thursday, November 19, 2015, a resident from Heatherbrook called police to report a theft from an unlocked vehicle.  An iPod was stolen sometime during the overnight hours.

 

On Friday, November 20, 2015, officers were dispatched to a business in the 11100 block of Big Bend for a stolen vehicle.  The victim reported leaving his vehicle running due to the cold weather and went inside the business.  When he returned his vehicle was missing.

 

On Friday, November 20, 2015, police responded to the 300 block of South Kirkwood Road for report of destruction of property.  The victim reported having a rear window of his vehicle broken out.  Nothing was stolen.

 

On Saturday, November 21, 2015, a resident from the 400 block of North Clay reported having her identity stolen.  The victim information was used to open a cell phone account and a phone shipped to an address in Arnold, Missouri.

 

On Saturday, November 21, 2015, police were notified of a robbery in the 300 block of South Kirkwood Road.  A couple reported having an unknown white male, in his 40s, enter the rear seat of their vehicle and display a handgun.  The suspect instructed the victims to drive around the block and stole their cell phones.  He had them exit the vehicle.  He then stole the vehicle.  The vehicle was later located in East Carondelet, Illinois.  The victims were not injured.  Detectives are investigating.
