Police Beat: 2/23-3/1

On February 23, 2015, police responded to a business located in the 500 block of Leffingwell for two theft reports.  Two vehicles parked on the lot of the business were broken into. Numerous tools valued at over $2000 were stolen from the vehicles.

 

On February 24, 2015, officers responded to the 1200 and 1400 block of Woodgate for several reports of theft from vehicles. Items stolen from the unlocked vehicles included keys, gift cards, and loose change.

 

On February 24, 2015, police were dispatched to the 1000 block of North Harrison for a theft report. A pair of prescription sunglasses was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

 

Kirkwood Police arrested eight adults for shoplifting merchandise from a Kirkwood area business during the week of Monday, 2-23-2015, through Sunday, 3-1-2015. All of the incidents occurred at a retail store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. One case was referred to St Louis County Prosecutor’s Office as a felony due to the suspect having at least two prior convictions for stealing. The other cases were referred to municipal court.
