Police Beat: 8/24-8/30

On Monday, August 24, 2015, police responded to the 10800 block of Big Bend for a residential burglary report. The victim had left the residence for approximately one hour and returned home to find his laptop stolen from the residence.

 

On Tuesday, August 25, 2015, officers were dispatched to a business burglary report in the 100 block of Prospect. Several electronic devices had been stolen from interior office suites.

 

On Wednesday, August 26, 2015, police were summoned to a residence in the 300 block of Heege for a burglar alarm and upon arrival had found the rear door ajar and damage to the door frame. Nothing was reported stolen from the home.

 

On Thursday, August 27, 2015, police received a report of identity theft from a resident in the 2100 block of Briargate. The victim’s credit card number was used to make an online purchase. The victim was still in possession of credit card.

 

On Friday, August 28, 2015, police responded to the 300 block of Alsobrook for a larceny from a residence. The victim reported tools stolen from the residence.

 

On Friday, 08-28-2015, police arrested one adult in connection with a previously reported theft from a business located in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. The original incident occurred during the week of 07-06-2015 and involved the theft of a cell phone power pack. The case was referred to Municipal Court.

 

On Saturday, August 29, 2015, police located a bicycle that was left in the 800 block of West Essex. The bicycle was brought to the police station for the owner to pick up.

 

On Saturday, August 29, 2015 police responded to the 1100 block of South Glenwood for a larceny from a vehicle. The car stereo had been removed from an unlocked vehicle parked at the residence.

 

 

On Sunday, August 30, 2015, an employee of a business in the 500 block of South Kirkwood Road reported property damage to police. A window pane at the business had been broken out. No entry had been gained to the inside of the business.

 

Kirkwood Police arrested three adults for shoplifting merchandise from Kirkwood area businesses during the week of Monday, 8-24-2015, through Sunday, 8-30-2015.The incidents occurred at retail stores in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. One case was referred to the St Louis County Prosecutor’s Office as a felony due to the value of the merchandise that was stolen. The other cases were referred to Municipal Court.
