As the 2020 presidential election draws near, citizens of Kirkwood have been eager to express their views. Many people have been using yard signs as a way to support their preferred candidates. Tensions rise as things continue to get more heated. Josie Baker, freshman, believes that the signs are a convivial way to represent political views without getting into a heated debate.

“I think it’s important to have people express their political views with signs in their yard because it brings communities together, and understands each other,” she says. “Because I am not old enough to vote, yard signs can be a useful way to express the opinions of the youth.”
